Fahadan Hotel in Yazd is also known as the Tehraniha house. It is considered as the first museum hotel registered as a historical monument in Iran. The building was constructed around 250 years ago and was inhabited by a family of merchants called Tehrani.
The hotel is located in Fahadan neighborhood, one of the most historically significant neighborhoods of Yazd. As such, Alexander’s Prison and Lariha House are in only a walking distance from the hotel. Also, Jameh Mosque of Yazd, Amir Chakhmagh Complex, Zoroastrian Art and Culture Museum and Zoroastrian Fire Temple can be reached either by walking or by car.
In this unique hotel, several objects of historical and aesthetic value can be found. In addition to this, guests can see an example of historical Iranian architecture modeled in its structure. Fahadan Hotel’s building consists of three yards (including the main courtyard, Narenjestan, and Kolah Farangi House). It also has three windcatchers, a well, a crypt, and a vestibule which connects the main entrance to the main courtyard. The central courtyard and garden of the hotel serve as a café and restaurant today. The building has been built in two floors and includes 30 rooms.
