Mahinestan Raheb Hotel is a historical house turned into a traditional hotel in Kashan, Iran. Its building dates back to the Qajar Period, around 200 years ago. The house is also known as Khane Shah Yalani. It was registered as a national monument of Iran in 2006. The recent renovations of the house were completed in 2015.
The hotel is located in the historical heart of the city. This is why guests can walk to many famous tourist attractions of Kashan. The closest landmarks include Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse, Tabatabei House, Borujerdi House, and Abbasian House. Other close locations are Bazaar of Kashan and Jameh Mosque of Kashan. All these attractions are located within a walking distance from the hotel.
As in any other historical hotel, its structure is modeled on traditional Iranian architecture. The entrance is followed by a vestibule which leads to the main courtyard of the house. The house has three yards known as andarooni (which was used by women), birooni (which was mainly used by men), and khadameh (which was used by servants of the family). Other parts of the house include its crypts, shah neshin (the northern part of the house, which was mostly used for hosting the guests), the andarooni, the summer and winter iwans, and a wind catcher. The hotel also has a restaurant serving a variety of traditional and local dishes.
