Parsian Ghale Ganj Hotel is one of the unique hotels in Kerman, Iran. It started working in 2017. The four-star traditional hotel is especially famous for its unique architecture. The hotel consists of a number of rooms which are called Kapar. Kapar is a traditional structure used as a house and shelter against the sun in southern regions of Iran. Traditionally, Kapar stands for the life of poor people. But it has been reinterpreted in this hotel. The hotel is owned and managed by Parsian Hotels group.
The hotel has been located in Ghale Ganj area, near Hormozgan Province and Jazmoorian Lake. It is 400 kilometers away from the city of Kerman, at a distance of 120 kilometers from Bandar Abbas. This location provides an easy access to the central deserts of Iran. As such, guests can enjoy camel riding and off-road adventures in the desert. They can also go on guided hikes over the sand dunes, and visit the local market called Ramaza.
As the first hotel in the world using Kapar, Ghale Ganj Hotel’s structure captures attention in an instance. The hotel consists of 5 traditional corridors, each surrounded by 6 Kapars. These traditional rooms are all furnished by modern equipment and facilities. Guests can try a variety of traditional and local dishes in the hotel’s restaurant. In addition to this, historical objects are put on display at its lobby. One of these objects is a 5000 years old clay horse being tamed by a man. This object also enjoys a historically important role, since it indicates that Iranians were the first nation who tamed horses.
